Professional Summary

With over a decade of experience in media, I have acquired the skills to help your organization grow. I began my career in radio in 2012 and transitioned to television and video production in 2015.

 

With my primary focus in news for the last 9 years, I have gained a vast knowledge on many topics including government, consumer issues, numerous athletic events, education, court proceedings, and large event planning. The video industry also afforded me the opportunity to earn my Part 107 sUAS license.

I have also freelanced for a variety of clients, most notably, the UTC Mocs, Baylor School, The Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame, and Chattanooga State Community College.

A well produced video can be the key to building a successful business. With my experience, attention to detail, and desire for excellence, I have the knowledge and creative skills to do just that for your organization.

Work Experience

Sep 2023- Present

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - Videographer/Editor

- Create and produce high caliber marketing/communications videos for the University.

- Collaborate with Art Director and Executive Producer to create video concepts.

- Pilot DJI Mavic Drone to get highly visual aerial shots of campus for projects.

Oct 2022 - May 2023

WRAL-TV - News Photographer/Editor

- Created visually appealing, high definition stories for Raleigh/Durham's most watched television news outlet.

- Worked in tandem with reporters to edit and file stories in a timely efficient manner.

Dec 2019 - Sep 2022

WRCB-TV - News Photographer/Editor

- Created and produced long form feature stories on a variety of topics, (crime, local history, interesting people, student athletes, etc.)

- Traveled with talent outside of the Chattanooga market to cover major sporting events such as, March Madness, the SEC Championship, TSSAA Spring Fling, the Sugar Bowl, etc.

- Served as a mentor for younger photogs and reporters. Lead training initiatives and offered daily feedback for a team of 8 photographers and 10 reporters

Interests

When I am out of the edit bay, I enjoy various hobbies such as fly fishing, record collecting, and reading. I have a great love for music, especially bluegrass and old-time folk music. I host a weekly radio show for WUTC 88.1 FM that this style of music, along with a couple of other Americana roots genres.
